WHERE DID THE CHAMPAGNE DRINK GET ITS NAME?

The drink with the same name originates in the Champagne area of France, which is close to Paris. Even though champagne is a term applied to various sparkling wines produced globally, true champagne is exclusively produced in France! A combination of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Noir grapes is used to make most champagnes.
